Hi again everyone,

I have contacted Karen Hisken at Eventful Acres, and we are now confirmed for Mother’s Day. We will be sharing the facility with another Hunter group (Karen said “Head’s Up!” on this), so I’m not quite sure what the implications are, but we have the date set. We are also set for catering.

Next step is to get folks confirmed who would like to take this excellent trip, so please let me know if you can make it for the new date.

Here’s what we need to know from you:
- Who is coming with you? How many in your party?
- Do you need a school horse?
- Do you plan to stay the full weekend?
- Will you camp (tent) or do you want to rent one of the Hisken’s Trailers?

Once we get a final tally, we can start with the rest of the planning activities. I’ll be following up with additional emails, but please don’t hesitate to email me or Judy, or ask one of the EA veterans, if you have any questions.

Belated thanks for a fantastic show of team work at Quiz Rally! MidCal was impressed by our parent volunteers and the work put into the successful day! Thank you to everyone for the time, energy, help and support! We should have a meeting to debrief on the event but lots of people busy this Sat., so maybe the next time (I’m still recovering – actually been sick all week!)

Different schedule for spring break–

GAMES! Led by Madelyn, assisted by Rebeccah, Sara, Izzy, Ellie (can ride, too, if horses available).

If you can, please bring 2 or 3 big spoons (somewhat equal in size and shape to hold “eggs”), apples or potatoes for eggs, clipboard and paper and pen to keep score.

PARENTS: Please plan to stay 10-11 to help referee and judge each lane, and take pictures!

9:00 – Everyone help set up for games
9:30 – Tack up horses (not Remedy, Promise, Cinder, Nemo)
10-11 a.m. Games – weaving at walk, weaving at trot, egg n spoon at walk, egg n spoon at trot, boot race, musical buckets, apple bobbing
